WEG to exhibit at Egypt Petroleum Show EGYPS 2023

Global motor and drive manufacturer, WEG will exhibit at the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS) held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre on 13 to 15 February, 2023. Exhibiting from stand 1F48, WEG will demonstrate its range of drives, soft starters and motors, including hazardous area motors. As WEG’s first ever trade exhibition in Egypt, WEG will also use the opportunity to launch Motion Fleet Management (MFM) — a digital tool for asset management — to the local market.
Hazardous area motors are among WEG’s specialist areas of expertise. As a crucial investment for power applications in the petroleum industry, WEG will demonstrate a range of hazardous area motors at EGYPS. This encompasses equipment complying with IEC 60079 standards for electrical equipment operating in explosive atmospheres.
“WEG provides a large range of hazardous area motors,” explained Marek Lukaszczyk, Europe and Middle East marketing manager at WEG. “This includes flameproof motors for atmospheres with flammable gases and vapours, as well as motors protected by enclosure for applications with combustible dusts. At the show, WEG’s engineers will be available at the stand to consult attendees on their required motor.”
WEG will also demonstrate its range of variable speed drives (VSDs). WEG’s drives boast increased power density, speed control in industrial applications and can be used to greatly improve efficiency in oil, gas and petrochemical applications.
“A new launch for the Egyptian market is Motion Fleet Management,” continued Lukaszczyk. “MFM is a control and monitoring tool for the operation of industrial assets including compressors, pumps and fans, using cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to generate real-time insights on motors, drives and other industrial assets.”
A demonstration of MFM will be available at the show, alongside WEG Motor Scan, a remote and intelligent monitoring device for electric motors and other plant assets. Both technologies will be demonstrated from stand 1F48.
