Mathios Rigas, Energean CEO, attended the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF), which took place today in Cairo. The Ministry of Petroleum invited companies from Greece, Italy, Israel and Cyprus to attend the meeting, and Energean’s CEO gave the following statement at the forum:

“The establishment of the Gas Industry Advisory Committee is a crucial development for our region. Participation by all key regional governmental and corporate players demonstrates a robust, collaborative approach and lays strong foundations for the successful delivery of our goals. We aim to enhance competitiveness, optimize infrastructure and harmonise regulation, whilst building a sustainable, cost-efficient energy market that will strongly benefit our economies and populations.”

“Energean’s deep knowledge and understanding of the East Mediterranean stems from our broad reach of activity; we operate in all regional countries with assets under production or development. We are committed to working closely with both governments and our peers, aiming to build a regional gas hub that will provide security and diversity of supply for our region’s economies and consumers.”
