Egypt, Jordan sign energy & gas protocol
On the Sidelines of the 3rd Jordan International Energy Summit, Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, signed yesterday a protocol in the field of energy and gas with the Jordan’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ibrahim Sief, in the presence of the Jordanian Prime Minister, Hani Al Mulki, and the Jordianian-Egyptian Fajr Egypt’s CEO, Fouad Rashad.
The parties discussed cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sector, as well as future collaborations in investment opportunities in energy. The talks focused on possible bilateral arrangement on the importation of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). El Molla said that it is important to leverage that Egyptian expertise in the field through increased cooperation between Egypt and Jordan.
At the opening of the summit, Prime Minister Hani Mulki stressed on Jordan’s keenness to support investments in the energy sector.
