BP, Eni begin production from two wells at Baltim South West field offshore Egypt
BP and Eni have begun production from the first two exploration wells in the Baltim South West offshore natural gas concession, according to a cabinet statement.
The two wells have a combined output of 190 mmcf/d and 1,300 bbl/d of condensate. Eni had suggested the field holds 1 tcf of gas following the results of the appraisal well Baltim South West 2X.
The remaining four wells in the field are expected to be brought online by 2Q2020 to bring the field’s total output to 500 mmcf/d.
