On 6th may 2016, Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, held various meetings with a number of Heads of international companies operating in Egypt.
He discussed the development program of North Alexandria fields and Atoll field, with BP’s Chief Executive for research and production, the development program of North Alexandria fields and Atoll field. BP assured its commitment to executing its petroleum projects in Egypt according to the time schedule and highlighted the cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum.
He also met with Exxon Mobil Corp. vice president, where they reviewed the Petroleum Sector’s policies to improve the investment climate. He also met with the head of Halliburton corp. to discuss ways to support and develop cooperation between both sides, focusing on increasing the opportunities of the company to contribute to research and production in deep water, enhanced production technology, increasing production from old fields and improving unconventional oil and gas sources.
Moreover, the Minister, met with the head of Fluor Company, specialized in engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction (EPFC) and maintenance. They reviewed current and planned mega projects at the Petroleum Sector, and the opportunities of its participation, in cooperation with the Petroleum Sector companies, specialized in engineering, construction and design.
The Minister of Petroleum visited Schlumberger Company and held talks with the head of production and the head of WesternGeco, affiliated to Schlumberger, specialized in seismic survey technology and geophysical services, in addition to holding bilateral talks with the heads of Apache, IPR and Chevron, to discuss a number of issues related to oil and gas industry and their activities inside and outside Egypt.
