Höegh Gallant Floating LNG Terminal arrives at Ain Sukhna

The Höegh Gallant floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) from Norway’s Höegh LNG arrived off Ain Sukhna on the Gulf of Suez.

Höegh signed a five-year contract with Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) in November 2014 to provide the import terminal starting Q2 2015.

The Höegh Gallant was built in 2014 by Hyundai Heavy Industries, has a cargo capacity of 170,051 cubic meters of LNG and a regasification capacity of 550 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d).
